Guardianships

When parents are unable to provide care for their minor children, extended family members often seek guardianship of the children. Leslie will file for a party to obtain temporary or permanent guardianship of a minor.
 
Likewise, when an adult becomes incapacitated or is incompetent and does not have a durable power of attorney, a court must appoint a guardian and/or conservator to manage that person’s financial affairs and make decisions.

Leslie understands the emotional nature of guardianship matters. She will counsel families and assist with all court filings and legal proceedings in a sensitive manner.
