Mediation

Quite often, litigation is not the best way to resolve a legal dispute. Mediation is a means of resolving matters without going to court. It is cost-effective, relatively quick and allows parties to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. It is a give-and-take process. No one walks out happy, but both parties walk out with a resolution they can live with.

Leslie is able to write an agreement tailored to the specific needs of the parties. Too often, courts implement standard agreements and don’t attend to the odd circumstances of the parties’ situation. She can help parties use creative plans and alternative solutions.

Leslie is a registered mediator for general civil matters, and in particular, domestic relations mediation, domestic violence, juvenile mediation, deprivation mediation, probate and arbitration. She is registered with the state and must routinely receive training to update her qualifications.

She frequently handles court-ordered mediation, most often in domestic cases. However, her practice also encompasses mediation on behalf of clients involved in a wide range of civil actions, including probate and contracts. She handles approximately 4-5 mediations per week.

Additionally, with her real property knowledge, parties find her especially successful in property and condemnation cases.
